HRC Gospel and Soul Unity Event this Sunday
June 22, 2007
In celebration of Juneteenth, Human Rights Campaign-Kansas City will stand in solidarity with the African-American community to commemorate this uniquely American holiday.
A presentation by Human Rights Campaign-Kansas City Diversity Committee will take place at 3:00 p.m. June 24 at 40 Acres Activity Campus, 7620 E 79th St, Kansas City, Mo., on the southeast perimeter of Swope Park. Click here for map
Special guests include Kim Burrell and Martha Munizzi with emcee Chris Hernandez from KSHB.
The Juneteenth Family Festival will take place all weekend:
Saturday June 23 12:00-8:00 p.m.
Sunday June 24 1:00-8:00 p.m.
The event is free with $10 per car for parking.
